Take a stand, lend a hand
Our club puts the "paws on bullying" by spreading awareness and encouraging students to stop bullying and choose kindness by participating in a pledge against all acts of bullying. Each participant gets their hand painted pink and then they stamp their hand onto a large poster.
Flashing SMIles
One of our main activities takes place in the early morning before school. In this activity ABC members all gather along the entrance of our school, each holding a sign with an inspiring phrase. By flashing smiles to all arriving students we strive to bring a smile to their face and provide a great start to their day.
Chain Reaction of kindness
We also hold other unique activities such as the Chain Reaction of Kindness; where students sign their name on a strip of paper alongside an inspirational message. These individual strips of paper come together to form a chain of kindness that is then displayed on our campus.
CHALK-it-OUT
A day is spent on the school campus writing positive and uplifting messages with chalk. When the students show up to school the following day they are greeted by a wave of positivity around each corner of school.
Popping Positivity
This is one of our main lunch activities that helps to spread a positive atmosphere on our campus. This activity includes an abundance of colored balloons with positive, uplifting messages in each one. All students and staff are encouraged to spin the color wheel and pop a balloon of the corresponding color to see what message awaits.
Heart Attack on lockers & cars
During PINK SHIRT WEEK, the club members write many kind and positive heart notes. They are then placed on the cars on the student and staff parking lot and withing all lockers. When school was finished for the day, the students are all surprised with a sweet message.
